  • First Nations Perspective Gigamap

This gigamap was used in the 2016-2017 Long Term Energy Plan (LTEP) report back with Indigenous communities. It was developed to: provide an overview of the current programs; showcase where LTEP engagement had taken place; reflect the feedback received; and to identify potential opportunities available for future program and policy development. The gigamap was used as an interactive tool to provide a complete view of the LTEP process with First Nations in Ontario.

  • Video: Energy 101

The “Energy 101” video was developed as an energy literacy tool for the 2017 Indigenous Community Energy Plan Symposium as an overview of Ontario’s energy sector.

  • Story Map: Women in Energy

This StoryMap is created to showcase the representation of women in the Ontario energy sector. Within Ministry of Energy, the Women in Energy Working Group is exploring the women’s participation in the energy sector, across fields and levels of seniority, with the goal of identifying what role the Ministry of Energy play in developing solutions to support, encourage the participation of women in the Ontario energy sector.

We are interested in learning about individual experiences of women in the energy sector, their perceptions, and learn what they may have or would find supportive to their participation within the sector.
